Father's day in Newfounland

Atlantic Ocean is peace and quiet by my back side. I sit on this red rock it is facing to the ocean and have to received the tempestuous wind and waves for thousand million years. Simon. I am hoping that our marriage as this red rock. And I would like to say :

Happy father'sday to my dear husband.

And all fathers who live in this world!!!!!!!!!

Today is a spencial day for you my dear. You may do every thing what you want to do. If you would like to naked for swimming in Atlantic ocean at here. Fine. No one be this beach to swimming, Because the water is very cool. And I don't take any picture to show to our dear friends. I promise. Please take off your all clothes then in to the water. Tobe a warrior for your special day. I would clap for you.

I almost forgot this special day of fathers. Because we drove on the roads couldn't see any advertisement .No commerce in those small villages. So, I didn't do any celebrate for Simon on that day morning.Sorry Simon. I would like to ask the pine trees to send my greeting to you with their nice green colour.

I would like to ask the owl to save your eyes when he is hungry to hunt his lunch.

I would like to ask this eagle to catch the mouse to you for your special supper .

I would like to ask these mooses to do the Tango with you at this mire .They would like to remind you about the moves if you forget. They would like to put their beautiful hands on your shoulder, and make 4 turns with you. Then you forget where is your home and who is your wife. Then no one bother me when I play my piano or violin at home.

I would like to walk with you at this 5km wood trail in the Salman forest park it close to St John by 50 km. It is a family park in the lowland. Then you can see the pine and the shrub are high to grow. The moss is green and under the trees . Simon, I walked with you for 35 years. I will walk with you another 35 years if we both keep on our life with good healthy.( May be we should use the cane to support to walk , and use the cane to fight each of other). Ha Ha.

Dear Simon, Today is your special day. Then I would like to protect you with my Tai Chi when some bad guy wants to encroach on your wallet.

Then you may have the wallet money to buy this delicious Ice -cream to treat yourself for your special day when we were taking the rest at the Conception Bay South. Not hurry up to St.John. I always remind you that we should take it easy on the road, not only go to the destination and overlook for the scenery ,local customs and practices of along the way. It is the travel's mean.

And We went back to the SunSet motel where was us stayed for one night by two days ago in conception Bay South.$93 for one night. This is a large town ,5.000 people. Near St.John only 25 minutes to drive to St.John. Along St John area.

We went to Sobeys suppermarket to buy this bake chicken. $8.99. The price almost same as Ont. Woh, Simon. You are looking so happy to have this chicken for your spencial day.Nice smile to enjoy the chicken's great smell and would like to use your big hand to be a occupant.would you like to share a chicken leg for me?

We bought 5lb of fresh mussels from Sobeys too. $0.99 for one lb. Much cheaper and fresh that Ont. We use the motel's kitchen to cook it. I want to buy the Roster . But Simon is very interesting for mussel. Then I gave up my idea, because he is a master today. Do you like sea food? We haven't see any fresh fish at the suppermarket. The people told us that all the fishmen have sell their fish to the factory to make finished products .

Of our life. We can find the happieness from everywhere and every thing. As like as the all of past travels, We are two gypsy again in Newfounland. Home , children, grandchildren and friends are far far away from us.We stay at the convenient place, Take the simple food to make the energy to see this world.We are so happy and rich of our spiritual life. Of those father'sday's celebrate. You should find out what kind people we are: TWO GYPSY.

Above that picture we took it in Alberta of our 25th Anniversary. The rocky mountains were waiting us to visit. I love that mountains. They are so great ,dignified and powerful.

On July 4th 2002. We drove to Western to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We were stoping in M.T Rushmore south dakota. The 4 presidents of America were be the witness for our stable of marriage.

This Newfounland's trip is celebrating our 35th Anniversary.

On this Newfounland's trip. I forgot to bring my mirrow . Then I had to use the van's side mirrow to check What Simon did behide me. May be he wanted to moist this dry land again?

We were very enjoy the Atlantic Ocean.

We did find out a empty camp site for our lunch in a provincial camping park. No one at the park gate to check in. We didn't pay any penny to get to this beaty campsite. We only stay two hours be there for our lunch. Then we were on the road again to go to East back to St.John.

There's black flies were very welcome me to bring the very delicious Chinese blood for their lunch. They were calling their families, friends........ to enjoy the very special food. Then after two days, My head was a pineapple again.( They were very friendliness for Simon or not interest for this old man. May be he is too old. The skin is very very thick and hard. Then they gave up of him. Only came to my head to propose a toast with my blood. Thank you dear black flies. I never forget you!!!!!!!!!!

What is he looking for?May be his mind to fly to his home land and back to his childhood. Is he miss his children and granchildren? He hopes some day he will bring them come to here to see this nature land just like of that past years, he bring his 4 children and and his wife to travel everywhere in North America. Or is he waiting the whales show up their proform?


On the 6th days in Newfounland. We were return to St.John to travel this Capital city again.

This is a church it call "Basilca of St. John Baptist" in St.John.

It is a very great,dignified, honourable church. We are not church people. But We are very interesting for all church's buildings. Then we must find some well-name of churches to go in to enjoy the art and the spirit of the church.

Simon take a walk of Waltz steps at the garden in the Government building. That day was a rainday. But not very cold.

That day was not open the visit door to welcome us. ( Not the right day for the visitors). Then I only can stand at the hall door to take this picture.

Then at the late of afternoon, we went to the City Musium. It call" The room". The door close time at 5:00pm. We were be there at 4:40pm. Then I didn't want to spend $6.00 for each person for 15 minute visit. ( I am very interesting to visit the Musium same as visit the church).

I was feeling little upsad for my lost. May ber some day I will bring my grandchild to visit it.

Do you like this village?

No any people are living on the plateau. People live in the lowland. The lowland's soil are being deficient.Then the most houses don't have the flowers garden. And spring and summer seasons are come one mother later then Ont .

In our Ont. The Tulips already did wither and fall on the April. Now June is start to all flowers bloom together season.

The vegetables and fruits are very expensive. $0.89 for One pond of banana.

All vegetables's price are double then Ont.

We are so lucky to live in Ont.

those pictures were taken by the motel side in "Trepassey". It is a very small fishvillage.800 people. One small food market.And very small post office, town hall, library ,Elementary and one high school.( Some teenagers are come from the nearby small villages ( 200 or 300 people live there). This village is bying the Trepassey bay in South Newfounland.close Atlantic ocean. Nice wood houses,sprse of trees and grass.Rocky ground, dry air,deserted of environment and sincere and warm of the people. We were over night at the unique small motel after croses the south plateau.$ 92 for one night.One and half stars motel.

I still keep my Tai Chi exercise and walk around of this village at the early moring.By my back side is the Trepassy Bay. The light and soft wind was from the Atlantic ocean to play softly of nature music in to my heart.I was singing the duet with it to thank you God's charity.Then I have chance to be here, to be this nature land.

Good morning dear Simon. Are you get ready on the road again? we will stride over another plateau to go to East to back to St. John. Another three hours drive. This day was sunny day and warm. Good weather for travel.

Deserted and desolate and limitless plateau

Most time we needed to drive on the deserted highways. The high ways are building on the rock high land.No soil. And cool weather. Then only the one inch high of moss can grow and sparse of shrub can grow. When we drove on that high ways, A Chinese old poem came up in to my mind:"


"I can't see any ancient person infront of me


I can't see any person behind me


I feel that heaven and earth


I am so small of this vast land


my tears fall down to moisten this wilderness land. "


When I learned this poem, I was a 7 years old city girl.I had a dream of being the deserted,desolate and limitless plateau. Now, I am here.I am feeling that poem's means.My dream is coming true.






Simon got off the van after he was driving three hours on the wilerness

land. what was he doing on the high way? Did he play the part of the policeman? Or did he want to dance the Cha Cha?May be he wanted to hitch-hike after I ate his big piece of fire chicken for lunch. Then he mad me and let me to drive back to St John.Oh Poor Simon, have you see any car on the road for three or four hours?

May be he wanted to moist that shrum? Ha HA. Dear Simon ,Some body see you what you are doing on this plateau. Then you will received the $1,000 ticket from Environmenttal protection department. The below picture is the proof.

Trinity-The colourful small town.

we went to this only has 800 people small town for over nigh on the second day.It is build in the glen and beside the Trinity Bay.It is a well-name of vacation village in Newfounland.Most village people are working at the fish factory it is by about 45 km out the village.But now the fishmen can't get the fish from Atlantis ocean any more, because America, Japan.....fishship come to our Canada's sea place to fish for the fish. A lot of the fish factories were close. Then the people leaved their village to go to another provinces to make the family living. In this small town, Only has July and Aug two months vigorous days, Then after the Laborers day. this town become the ghost town. But it is so beautiful . Here are some pictures to show to you that town of Europe village's style. All houses like as everywhere houses, build by the wood. No brick house, but very beauty, brilliant.

In Trinity,only has two very old small hotel .It look like 100 years ago the pioneer's seek pleasure bar.i was very being scared that At the midnight some drunkards knock my door and yell me:" Hey, beautiful young girl,Why you are be my room? Get out here!" Then they throw me to the street from the second floor window.Then after one minute, I see simon to fly as a big bird from the same window down to the ground and ask me that:" My dear, why I know how to fly? I was hearing that some one did yell me" Hey, old man, why you sleep on my bed?".Am I dreaming?".

Then we drove out about one km to the uphill to find a cabin to stay over night.( Only this cobins in Trinity. No any motel and another cabins) $82 for one cabin. It is very clean. Has a small kitchen too. If We didn't book the return ticket . Then we would like to stay the cabin for a few days. Because the scenery is very very beauty and let us not knowing how to return. I don't mind the countless of black flies to enjoy the Chinese food of my blood from my head.( May be they were the first time to taste the Chinese food and very enjoy it.) In Newfounland, Those black flies were very interest for my head. My head became a pineapple.

The icebergs

Icebergs are comprised of pure, fresh water, they float because the density of ice is less than the sea water.

9/10 of an iceberg's mass is below water. It takes an iceberg about 2-3 years to reach the island of Newfounland from Greenland, a distance of 1,800 nautical miles.

The terms, tabular, blocky, wedge, dome, pinnacle and drydock are used to describe iceberg shapes. The average iceberg weight for the Grand Banks is one to two hundred thousand tonnes.

The area from the southern Grand Banks of Newfounland is referred to as "Iceberg Alley". Then we drove to there to watch this gift from God's prodigious skill. The weather was change warm.Sunny day.
